Technology Manager

A National Management Company, specializing in Self Storage facilities, has an opening for a full-time Technology Manager.

This may be a remote position for the right candidate. (The ideal candidate will reside in one of the following locations: Memphis, TN, Atlanta, GA, Tampa Bay, FL.) Ability to travel up to 25% is required if remote with ability to utilize technology for continued communication with properties, team members and leadership.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 based on experience

Overall Responsibility:

Reporting to the CEO, the Technology Manager will be responsible for the planning, implementation and operation of all information technology systems to enable the achievement of the organizations business objectives. The Technology Manager will be responsible for all technology projects, services and support.

Primary Functions:

  • Manage the company’s technology software providers:
    • POS: Doorswap
    • CRM: Salesforce
    • ERP: Quickbooks
    • Office Software: O365, Adobe, Sharepoint, Teams, Zoom
  • Manages assigned IT projects to ensure the budget, schedule and scope of the project
  • Manage the company’s third-party technology service provider which helps oversee all hardware, virus, firewall, server and other components and systems
  • Direct and support the implementation of new software and hardware, including enhancements to current programs
  • Identify and recommend new technology solutions
  • Train supervisory team members on technology innovations
  • Purchase and distribution of hardware to supervisory team members
  • Manage all field technology inventory
  • Manage relationships with corresponding POS systems including merchant services, insurance, texting, verified delivery, online rentals, website connectivity, call center and others
  • Ensure the security of all data
  • Provide technology support for all team members as needed
  • Communication and collaboration with between all departments
  • Implement processes to identify and mitigate information risks within the company

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning
  • Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related degree
  • Certification in lieu of degree may be considered
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a technology management position
  • Experience in property management or storage preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel at least 25>#/li###
  • Experience working remotely preferred
  • Experience with the following systems a plus: Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, NAV, Business Central, QuickBooks, Office 365, Adobe, SharePoint, Teams and Zoom

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • The ability to sit for prolonged periods of time working at a desk on a computer
  • The ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment
  • The ability to communicate, converse with and express information in person, by phone and through other technology
  • The ability to travel by car or place up to 25% of the time
  • The ability to operate a vehicle
  • The ability to maintain a regular and punctual schedule
